Hublot x Como 1907: A Limited-Edition Classic Fusion in Black Ceramic
Only 50 pieces made: Swiss watchmaking meets Italian football heritage
Hublot has unveiled a new special edition of its Classic Fusion line, this time born from a collaboration with Italian football club Como 1907. The result is the Classic Fusion Chronograph Black Ceramic – Como 1907 Limited Edition, a watch that merges sporting aesthetics with technical materials and a strong sense of local identity. Only 50 individually numbered pieces will be produced, appealing to collectors and enthusiasts alike.
Black Ceramic and Gold Accents: A Refined Balance of Innovation and Heritage
The new Classic Fusion features a 42 mm case made from satin-finished and polished black ceramic, a material now firmly rooted in Hublot’s manufacturing DNA thanks to its scratch resistance and lightweight properties. The gold-plated hands provide a classical counterpoint to the technical material, while the blue soleil dial reflects Como 1907’s team colors. The club’s crest appears in the chronograph subdial at 3 o'clock, an understated but meaningful detail.
On the back, a sapphire crystal caseback reveals the automatic chronograph movement in action, complete with a rotor engraved with the Como 1907 logo. The watch is marked with the inscriptions “HUBLOT,” “CLASSIC FUSION,” “SPECIAL EDITION,” and the individual number (XX/50) around the edge of the caseback. A black rubber and alligator leather strap with blue stitching and a black-plated stainless steel deployant clasp complete the package, emphasizing both luxury and wearability.
Hublot and Football: A Long-Standing Strategy
This partnership with Como 1907 fits seamlessly into Hublot’s long-established strategy of aligning with the world of football. Hublot was the first luxury watch brand to invest in football sponsorship, serving as the official timekeeper for global events like the FIFA World Cup, UEFA EURO and a number of elite clubs and national teams.
Past collaborations have included football giants such as Juventus, Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain, and various football teams.
With Como 1907, Hublot turns its attention to an emerging club with deep Italian roots and international ambitions. This move aligns with the increasing relevance of “local-first” storytelling in the luxury market, where brands aim to connect with communities as well as collectors.
